Top Perks to ask about when looking for a gym membership

Good morning beautiful! I hope all is well with you, and you’re manifesting greatness into your life. When it comes to manifesting things into your life, there is no reward without putting in some work, but who says you can’t get perks to go long with the results of your hard work? I’m new to the fitness scene and recently started looking for a gym to call home. I started by just looking for the cheapest thing available, but I decided that there should be more benefits to my membership than just saving a few dollars. So today I thought I would share some of the top perks that I’ve seen offered at gyms.

Free Classes

This one is one of the most common but it comes in at the top for a reason. The whole reason I wanted to join a gym is to attend the free classes that they offer like Zumba and Yoga. I love doing yoga at home, but now that my skills are improving I’m looking to get in a class. Now I know I can find a Yoga studio, but that wouldn’t leave too much room to mix it up or strength train. That’s why a gym with free classes is one of the top things I’m looking for.

Child Care

Now I don’t have Children, but when I saw that there were gyms that offer childcare I thought I should share this.  Lots of gyms offer this free with your membership so no need to worry about a daily rate. For any stay at home or working mom out there, this is a great way to get in a little “me time” on a daily basis to blow off some steam.

Smoothie Bar

A smoothie or Juice bar is a great perk for those of us who like a smoothie right after a workout, but aren’t interested in packing it. (or if you haven’t mastered the art of smoothie making just yet). A smoothie is a great way to replenish yourself after a good workout and often taste great. With a smoothie bar right in the gym, you can go more freely and eliminate some of the pre-gym planning and prep.

Companion Passes

Companion passes are great for those of us who need “accountabilibuddies”. Finding someone who is going to go with you every time can be tough, having a companion pass means you can take anyone with you who is willing to go, whether they they have a membership or not. It’s great for those days when your regular buddy can’t make it but you don’t want to hit the gym alone.

So those are the top things that I’m looking for in my next gym home. (reasonably priced of course). I’m looking forward to starting this new section of my fitness journey and maybe I’ll see some of you at the gym!
