It is Oral Cancer Awareness Month! What does this mean for you? A lot! You might not have oral cancer but that doesn’t mean it is any less important. Oral Cancer Awareness Month raises awareness for the importance of performing self exams. There are some dental associations that provide free oral cancer screenings and also provide education and treatments for those who need it. According to MouthHealthy.org, there are over 51,500 people who are diagnosed with cancers of the mouth, throat, tonsils and tongue each year. This number is alarming. Again, the absence of oral cancer now, is not the impossibility of it’s arrival later. Do all that you can to learn about your body and that includes performing self exams and seeing a doctor regularly and getting check ups.
Your health is important. Don’t you want to let the best you live? You got this, Gorgeous! Talk to your physician.
