National Moscato Day! | 3 Skinny Girl Drinks to stay on your diet

Hey sis! So as you may or may not know, today is National Moscato day! So just as a disclaimer this post is not sponsored, and BGH is not promoting the consumption of alcohol as a part of their platform. The following ideas are mine and BGH was just kind enough to let me share them. So now that this is out of the way, lets get on to the good stuff! So as I mentioned earlier today is national moscato day, and I wouldn’t be your sister if I didn’t help you find a way to indulge. As far as drinking goes, you could do a lot worse than wine, however when you are trying to achieve weight loss goals, you’ve got to make the best decisions at all times.

But wait.. I thought wine was good for me?

I’m glad you brought this up sis, that’s a common misconception. Red wine can be good for your heart in small doses, but if you’re polishing off a bottle you’re way past the healthy limit. In fact, half of a cup per day is the recommended limit. Now tell me sis, who is turning up with that? Nobody, but no matter how you look at it, alcohol shouldn’t be a part of your daily routine. A ladies night out with friends is acceptable, to most routines, except your diet of course. Your diet doesn’t care if you’re with friends or not, carbs are carbs. That’s why I wanted to bring 3 delicious moscato drink recipes that you can substitute a “skinny” wine in, so that you don’t have to erase your progress just to hang with your friends.

  1. Strawberry Moscato Cocktail – This is going to be the easiest onde of the three recipes to make a healthy version of. In addition to swapping in the skinny girl versions of the liquor and wine, Fresh Strawberry puree can save you a bit on the sugar as well.
  2. Apple Cinnamon Sangria – This is another good recipe to make skinny as well. You can swap in the Skinny girl moscato and “diet orange juice” if you would like as well. The taste is slightly compromised, but it’s a cocktail, you won’t even noticed after the first one!
  3. Valentine Moscato Float – So of the 3 this one is the most indulgent. However where there is a will there’s a way! Subbing sorbet for the ice cream can eliminate the need for soda as well. For the super health conscious, strawberry flavored banana ice cream could really set this off as well as keep your waistline in check!
