Sherrell Moore is an author and community and corporate wellness provider who began practicing yoga and meditation due to her own experiences with various health challenges.
Sherrell is the co-owner of SAGE Holistic Center in Waldorf, MD and is the creator of MindBody FAITH, a wellness and lifestyle brand rooted in faith. She also, utilizes principles from her soon to be released book, Meditate like a Boss in workshops and training topics such as, 5 Must Have Traits For An Aspiring Leader and Stress Management Through Crisis And Change.
During her enlistment in the Army, Sherrell began experiencing excruciating back pain. Upon receiving a diagnosis of arthritis her doctor also recommended yoga. That recommendation and a recommitment to her faith transformed her life and opened the door to healing mind, body, spirit. She is registered with the National Yoga Alliance, RYT-200 and completed her first yoga training in 2010. Since that time Sherrell has been offering community and corporate wellness programs.
After Sherrell completed her military service she obtained a Master’s degree in Human Resources and started a career in the federal government providing leadership training in the area of Labor & Employee Relations. She also has a strong commitment to community service. Her local and global efforts include work with various non-profits, VA medical centers, churches, and missionary work in Africa.
Her diverse background includes expertise in labor and employee relations, effective communication, leadership training, diversity and inclusion, and unconscious bias. She is registered with the National Yoga Alliance, E-RYT-200. Her expertise includes Hatha & Vinyasa yoga, Yin yoga, Student of Healing Touch, Trauma-Informed Yoga, iRest® Level 1 teacher informed by the teachings of Richard Miller and iRest Institute, Restorative Yoga for Race Based Traumatic Stress Injury informed by the teachings of Dr. Gail Parker, and Christian & Biblical meditation informed by the teachings of Dr. K.D Weaver and the Sleeping with God Meditation Center. She is a member of the Society of Labor & Employee Relations Professionals (SLERP), National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and certified in CPR, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and a certified natural health professional (CNHP) through Trinity School of Natural Health.
