IS JOB STRESS GETTING YOU DOWN?

Is Job stress getting you down? Are you unable to get ahead at work? Are you feeling stuck on one huge task? Ready to pull your hair out and it’s not even lunch time? If so, I’ve got just the remedy.

There are many small things you can do during your work day that will recharge you. Most of these tricks you can accomplish on your lunch break; BUT, don’t fear ladies I have plenty of tips to help you relax even without taking a lunch break.

30 MINUTE BREAK-NAP: There is endless new research showing the effectiveness of a nap during the day. It has been proven that a nap actually INCREASES productivity. In fact, several countries around the world REQUIRE employees to take a nap. Even if you don’t fall completely asleep, staying quiet in a darken area with your eyes shut will do the trick. Your brain is so powerful, that a 10 minute nap actually presses the reset button on your energy level AND stress.

 

15 MINUTE BREAK-STRETCH. A mini yoga session (try with Sun Salutation A& B) will rocket you to more energy with a side effect of happiness (due to release of endorphins). If you’re not familiar with yoga or do not have the space, do each of the following 15 times EACH: head circles left then right; big arm swings (aka the windmill) forward and then backward; left leg raises, right legs raises; ankle twists to the left and the to the right; head rolls again. You should also be taking 15 large breathes during each repetition.

 

NO BREAK- TAKE A BATHROOM BREAK. In the bathroom wash your face with warm water and take twenty, long, VERY deep breathes (don’t hyperventilate). Think of nothing other than good breathing techniques. When you’re done, make a cup hot tea. The herbs and aromas from the tea will open up your senses and give you sense of relation AND gratification. That “Ahhhhhh” feeling. If tea is not your thing try lighting a candle or incense, or massage aromatherapy oils into yours necks, arms, and hands.
