How To Fall In Love With Yourself

Valentine’s Day approaches and some of us don’t have any plans. The holiday of love reminds so many women of the fact that they are “without love” but hopefully this year will be a lot different. This Valentine’s Day it’s time to fall in love with yourself!

Alone Time: You’re probably thinking “Why on earth would I choose to be alone?” Here’s why. Every relationship requires effort and quality time, so why don’t you have that with yourself? Take some time to get to know yourself and start to enjoy your own company.

Get to Know Yourself: As many years as we have alive, very often we think we know who we are and rely on the perceptions of others to alter our own perceptions of ourselves. Starting a journal is actually a great way to get to know yourself. After a while, you can look back at some of your entries and figure out knew things about you.

Go Out On A Date: I know I said that you you should try falling in love with yourself, but here’s what I mean. When I say go out on a date, I mean take yourself out on a date. This is a form of alone time but this way you don’t feel like you have to be cooped up in your house in order to spend time alone. Go to the movies or go out to dinner. Just give yourself some time to unwind and enjoy yourself.

Look in the Mirror: We all have things about ourselves that we wish we could change, but nothing on us was a mistake. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you’re beautiful. All those things that you view as flaws, turn them into unique details that make up you. Everytime you look in the mirror tell yourself you’re beautiful and all of the details about you are beautiful.

How can you truly love someone else without being able to love yourself? This Valentine’s Day, try not to think about not having a significant other to take you out and buy you a gift. Spoil yourself, love!
