If you grew up the way I did, perhaps you weren’t schooled on the relevance of credit or the agonizing irony of debt. A lot of your learning may have come from trial and error and that’s OK! It’s great to learn from experiences, just know that all phases are temporary!
First thing to know is AVOIDING WHAT YOU OWE WON’T MAKE IT GO AWAY. It’s easier to avoid the existence of what we feel we can’t control. The key is to accept the truth and execute a plan. Be confident in your ability to do something about it. Debts can be damaging but try not to allow temporary ebbs keep you from feeling prosperous!
Would you believe me if I told you, creditors would love to hear from you?! That’s right! Give them a call and set up monthly arrangements, even if it’s a small portion of what’s due. If you can’t make a payment, remember to keep in touch with them.
Facing debt is the only courageous way to silence the sirens of debt while gaining credit! Action is purposeful but results come with time!
