When it comes to losing weight a lot of women feel hopeless! We already know: drink lots of water and change your diet. Weight loss comes when you burn more calories than you eat, entering into a calorie deficit. Although this is true, we have a lot of wrong ideas or misconceptions about how to lose weight and what is the best way to do it.

Cardio is an important part of the exercise portion of losing weight, but it is not the only way to lose weight. There are some common mistakes that we do that keep us from losing the weight we need to. One mistakes is doing too much cardio. Doing more cardio than strength training or doing too much cardio in general can cause injury, muscle loss, and weight loss plateaus. Another misconception is that strength training or weight lifting will automatically result in us bulking up. IT IS NOT TRUE! Weight lifting or strength training changes the composition of your body which helps you with your weight loss journey.
