I am from Linden, New Jersey. Growing up, my family stressed the importance of eating healthy. Whenever I would visit my grandparents, they would always pile on the vegetables and keep fried foods to a minimum.  My family would treat me to a restaurant or “junk food” every once in a while, however, the occasions were very rare. My view of nutrition has changed dramatically over the years. During college, I let go of my “nutrition principles” and gained weight. EXERCISE OF THE WEEK: LUNGES & LATERAL RAISES

The exercise for the week will be alternating Lunges with dumbbell lateral raises. Beginners start with 3 sets of 12 repetitions (6 reps per leg) as you get stronger increase that to 20 repetitions (10 reps per leg). This compound movement will target glutes, quads, hamstrings, and shoulders. Compound movements are my favorite as you will see in the videos soon to follow. Get Toned Arms and Legs With This Workout

Today you will be doing squats with bicep dumbbell curls. This exercise is a compound movement. It targets your glutes, quads, hamstrings, and biceps. Compound training quickly builds muscle, dramatically enhances overall fitness, while strengthening the body as a whole.
