Fruit Yogurt Parfait

This is a great light breakfast, and even better light snack, the sweetness comes from the fruit and the crunchiness comes from the cereal and nuts.  ENJOY!! INGREDIENTS: 2/3 cup of nonfat or 2% Greek yogurt ¼ cup fresh blueberries ¼ cup fresh raspberries ½ cup Kashi GoLEAN cereal 1/3 cup sliced almonds (optional) 1 teaspoon of agave nectar (optional) DIRECTIONS: Spoon half the yogurt in a small or parfait glass.  Top with blueberries and raspberries add remaining yogurt and cereal, almonds. EXERCISE OF THE WEEK: ROMANIAN DEAD LIFTS WITH FRONT SHOULDER RAISES

I hope you ladies had an amazing Thanksgiving. Here is a great combination exercise for your body to help shed some Thanksgiving weight. Single leg Romanian deadlifts with shoulder front raises. Start with 4 sets, 10 repetitions each leg. You can start with 5Lbs. weight or no weights at all! This exercise is great for balance and more importantly engages your core, glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and shoulders. Make sure that you keep your knee slightly bent, back is straight along with the leg that is being raised, squeeze your glute muscles as you come back up to the start position. GREEK TURKEY SALAD W/ DILL VINAIGRETTE

This recipe will use up some of that leftover turkey from Thanksgiving.  ENJOY!! INGREDIENTS: 3 cups chopped cooked turkey 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved 1 cup chopped cucumber 1 cup chopped green bell peper 1 cup pitted kalamata olives sliced 1 container of baby spinach ½ cup light olive oil ¼ cup red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon of fresh or dry dill 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley 2 tablesppon agave nectar Sea salt  and black pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: In a large bowl, put spinach, turkey, tomatoes, olives, bell pepper, cucumbers. Set aside a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar , shallot, dill, parsley, agave nectar, salt, pepper. Pour over salad and toss.
