ROCSI DIAZ OVERCOMES EATING DISORDER AND FINDS ZUMBA

Rocsi Diaz, well known as the former 106 & Park host, says that eating disorders are common among minorities. She struggled with the disorder and didn’t stop being critical of her body image until she started loving herself. She says accepting her body helped her adopt a healthy lifestyle, which consist of not eating meat and staying away from process foods. According to Zumba.com, her advice to others struggling with their body image is “I’d say to do stuff that you’re good at and wear things that make you feel sexy.”  In terms of exercise Diaz’s love for dancing and Latin music led her to Zumba. Mussels in a garlic sauce

The best thing about mussels they don't have to be a eaten as appetizers they are great as a main course meal just add a green salad and you have the perfect low fat meal. ENJOY! INGREDIENTS: 1pound mussels, scrubbed and de bearded 3 garlic cloves, chopped 1medium onion 2 tablespoon olive oil 3 cups of low sodium chicken broth 1/2 of a lemon squeezed 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Sea salt and pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: In large pot, add oil and garlic, onions and sauté about 1min making sure garlic does not burn. Add chicken broth salt, pepper and cleaned mussels, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil with a tight -fitting lid, cook 8-10 minutes, until mussels have opened. Serve at once.
