EXERCISE OF THE WEEK: POWER PLANKS

Here's another great exercise for your core while engaging shoulders and legs. Start with a plank position; begin with lateral raises and front raises, alternating arms. Perform 4 sets of 15 seconds (beginners) working your way up to 60 seconds (advanced). Points to keep in mind during the exercise: Stay as tight as you possibly can, engage your core by pulling your abdominal muscles towards your spine, keep your chest tight, and arms tight during the movement.
