TRIPLE THREAT EXERCISE OF THE WEEK

Finishing strong after any leg workout is like the icing on the cake.  Here's one excellent exercise that will help you finish strong.  This exercise is a triple threat! While you are working your back, you'll also engage your core, and training your legs.  Set yourself up in a low lunge position, making sure your back is straight and your core is engaged.  As you lean forward, row the dumbbells towards your body using your back as you hold the lunge position.  Row for 10 repetitions, switch legs and repeat.  Basically you'll be performing a total of 20 rows (10 per leg) and 30 second lunge hold (15 seconds per leg) Do 3 sets total.  Enjoy your workout! Moisturize hair daily to reduce dryness, brittleness and breakage! In general, as women of color, our hair is usually dry due to lower sebaceous (oil) gland secretions. As the temperatures become cooler and less humid, your hair becomes even more dry. Apply a daily moisturizer (oil sheen, lotion, etc) to your hair, especially the ends which are more prone to splitting and breakage from dryness. One of my favorites for dry hair is simply basic olive oil, which can be used daily or applied heavily with a plastic cap the night before shampooing.
