EXERCISE OF THE WEEK: KEEP YOUR BACK STRONG AND INJURY FREE!

Lower back muscles often get neglected, here's a way to keep them strong and injury free! Beginners start with no weights, advanced can use weights. Cross your arms in front of your chest, and then bend down slowly. BGH joins health workshop “A Healthier You”

Shalom House has been providing homeless women and children in the greater Harrisburg area with not only food and shelter, but also clothing, case management, financial literacy and life skills programs, and spiritual mentoring support through the volunteer leadership of the faith community.  Last year, Shalom House provided these services to over two hundred women and children.  In addition, through our Women Veterans program, we are able to help homeless women veterans and their children get re-established and regain independence. INGREDIENTS: 1 bunch kale 1/2 pound green cabbage 1/4 pound red cabbage 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise 1Tablespoon agave nectar 11/2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar 1teaspoon caraway seeds 1 teaspoon celery seeds 1teaspoon ground mustard Sea salt and pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: In a large bowl, combine the kale, green and red cabbage, vinegar,mayo, agave nectar, spices, salt, pepper; toss to combine. Getting your make up to look flawless for the entire day is probably every girl’s dream. I swear I look my best, but by the end of the work day, after being in the hot sun, my face looks like it’s been through someone’s washing machine. My skin tends to more oily during the summer months, so that also effects the life of my makeup once applied. GRILLED LAMB CHOPS

If you don’t want beef, chicken, or pork, but want to keep it simple and light, try lamb.  ENJOY!! INGREDIENTS: 8 lamb chops (Frenched) 3 tablespoons olive oil or grapeseed oil 1 large clove garlic (minced) Sea salt and pepper to taste 3 teaspoon herbes de Provence or Italian season 1tablespoon agave nectar 3 tablespoon fresh mint (chopped) DIRECTIONS: Place the lamb chops on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil on both sides and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper and garlic herbe de Provence or Italian season.  Let set at room temp for 10 minutes. Heat a grill pan over high heat.  Add lamb chops, and sear for 4 - 5 minutes.  Flip and cook to your desire. Then put on a serving platter.  Drizzle with agave nectar and mint. When getting a manicure, did you ever notice the amount of paint that is coated on each finger?  Typically, there are four coatings; starting off with a base coat, followed by two coats of polish (clients choice), and then is finished off with a top coat.  With all these layers of polish, transitioning from one color to another can be quite the struggle. It can be very tedious and become annoying to deal with.  With that being said, here is a tip on how to remove nail polish: First, take a few pieces of cotton and saturate each piece with acetone polish remover.  After the polish remover is applied, lay the saturated piece upon each nail and allow it to sit for about 30-60 seconds.  Once that...
