8-day Keto Kickstart | Spring cleaning for the body

8-day Keto Kickstart | Spring cleaning for the body

Hey Sis! I hope you’re doing well on your life journey thus far! I know that we are all on different journeys in different parts of our life, but I know that there is one thing that we are are working on together and that’s our weight. Whether it is for weight loss, weight maintenance, a health issue or purely cosmetic, our weight is something that drives all of us, to live more active and full lives, including me.

So since #SpringCleaning is coming I thought I would jumpstart it by doing some cleaning of my body. I have decided to do an 8-day Keto Kickstart to get my cravings under control, and get back on my healthy eating plan. You see I have kinda fallen off recently. The last couple of weeks I have been eating fast food more than 3 times a week! That may not seem like a lot to you, but it is a slippery slope to me. When I was at my heaviest weight, I was eating fast food multiple times a day, and never really cooking for myself. Once I start eating fast food like that, the pounds pile on, and after awhile I can’t stop craving food like that! Usually, I need a reset in order to kick the cravings, and it often comes in the form of working so much that I forget to eat. This time though, I decided to do a jumpstart on my own by doing a mini fast, and following the rules of keto.

What is Keto?

Well I don’t happen to be a keto expert, but from my understanding, its a diet that helps you burn fat because there isn’t very much sugar in your system to burn. Sounds simple enough right? Well you have to understand what your body considers sugar, and to my surprise, it’s more than just that white stuff you put in your coffee, it’s almost everything, (well everything really enjoyable lol). You can learn more about the diet itself by clicking here . But the gist of it, is that its low carb, and you will get most of your body’s fuel from fats.

What will I eat?

Well the meal plan will be simple, I will be eating mostly vegan for my meals, having just 1 large meal a day. I will supplement the rest of my day with smoothies, meal replacement shakes, and small snacks. The meal replacement shake I’m going to try is called the Exogenous Keto Chocolate Shake made by Nutravix. I haven’t tried it before, and if you haven’t either don’t worry, I will do a full review on the shakes at the end of the 8-day trial.

I’m not looking for anything drastic, just looking to maybe shed a pound or two, but more importantly to kick these cravings for all the wrong types of food, so I can get back on track. Have you ever tried anything like this? Comment down below and let me know how it worked out!

And as always, I hope you’re living your best life sis!
