Words of affirmation can be the best medicine sometimes. Let them know that they are handling everything well. Be honest, tell them that it is okay to feel down during times like this. Don’t pressure them, and let them take it one day at a time.

5. Hobbies!

Everyone has hobbies. Whether it’s collecting things or shopping it makes us feel good. You can try new DIY home improvements or schedule a day out the week dedicated to painting a masterpiece. Whatever it is just do it! Not only does it bring joy but it also will take their minds off of everything even if just for thirty minutes.
