Why competing with yourself is healthy?

It’s important for people to understand that when starting your weight loss journey, it’s not good to compare yourself to other people. When you begin to compare yourself, you often find yourself lost and it can become mentally draining. The road to fitness and becoming healthy takes time, so trust your process and know that if you remain consistent the results will come. Just use this fit chick as an example!

Stop making excuses and just do it!

The more excuses you make, the longer it will take for you to accomplish any goal in life. You have to not only change your diet, but you must also transform your mind. Did you know that 80 percent of your success depends on your mindset? That’s all it takes! If you truly believe you can do it then it will happen.

Here are 3 tips to help you get started:

  1. Detox your mind – it’s important that you read self-help books that will help you begin to transform your mind, body, and soul. This will also help you understand that health should be a priority in your life.
  2. Detox your body – before you start any weight loss journey, it’s important that you remove all toxins from your body. I recommend cleansing your body by drinking 1-2 green smoothies a day, a natural two-day cleanse or drinking a detox tea twice a day while eating clean.
  3. Come up with a plan – During your detox, begin to schedule the days you would like to meal prep and workout. Begin to research the various food groups you would need to incorporate into your diet and start to create your nutrition plan. Lastly, see if there’s a local gym in your neighborhood that offers a variety of classes. If you can’t afford a membership, you can complete workouts in your home. I don’t know about you, but YouTube has become my best friend when discovering easy and efficient workouts.
